FEES
My standard fee is $230 for a 50 minute session; I offer a sliding scale fee down to $210, please advise at the beginning of your appointment which fee you can pay.

Sessions are predominantly conducted face-to-face at the clinic in Mount Nasura. Telehealth appointments are available. Clients are only seen on a privately paying basis; Medicare and Private Health rebates accepted. Fees will be automatically charged to your credit/debit card through secure and encrypted online software at the time of our appointment. You can learn more about the software I use here. The current recommended fee for a 50-minute session with a registered psychologist is $280 by the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPI) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS). My standard fee is 18% and my lower fee 25% below than this rate.
Cancellation Policy
If for some reason you need to cancel or postpone your appointment, please give at least 48 hours' notice. A late cancellation fee will apply; 100% of the session fee if there is less than 24 hours notice, and 50% of the session fee if 24-48 hours notice. Late cancellation fees will apply if you decline for your face-to-face appointment to be converted to Telehealth due to practitioner requirements. Please note that in the event of a cancellation, I will use the time dedicated to you to review your treatment planning and ensure you are receiving the best treatment possible. The Late Cancellation fee will need to be paid on or before your next visit and it is non-claimable on Medicare or Private Health Insurance.Please make every effort to notify me if you cannot attend an appointment, there are often other clients waiting for appointments, and it would be appreciated if they could be given the opportunity to attend. You may also enquire whether it is an option to meet virtually if you're unable to attend an in-person session. MEDICARE REBATE
A Medicare rebate of $93.35 can be organised by visiting your GP (or specialist) and requesting them to complete a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). To be eligible for the MHCP your doctor must assess that you meet criteria for a diagnosable mental health condition (e.g. depression, anxiety, trauma and other stress-related conditions) and complete the MHCP paperwork which you would send prior to, or bring along to your first session. Medicare Rebates are processed on the same day as your attended appointment and the funds are generally in your account within 24-48 hours.

PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE
If your private health insurance policy includes psychological therapy, you may be able to claim your session fee with your insurer. Private Health Fund rebates are to be completed by the client whom I will provide an invoice for. You are unable to claim both Medicare and Private Health Insurance for the same session, however, you can alternate between either if you wish. I recommend you check what your private health rebate will be before making a decision.
EMDR TREATMENT
At times during EMDR treatment it may be necessary to have an 90 minute session together (rather than the standard 50 minutes). You will be advised of this during the early phase of treatment planning. The 90 minute session attracts a higher session fee which will be discussed.
