Welcome! I'm Sarah, an Autistic ADHD perinatal psychologist providing adult (18+) autism assessments.
I work hard to provide sessions that are compassionate, unique, affirming, accepting, and trauma aware.
Many of the people I work with are questioning their neurotype, but they're not sure how much of what they are thinking about is related to the huge changes of parenthood or neurodivergence. If you're not sure - that's where I come in. I weave clinical and lived experience into my assessments and consultations, I don't just rely on a standard questionnaire to tell me if you are autistic/ADHD or not!
I do also work with adults who are not parents, or are child-free by choice. Please note that I am not a clinical psychologist, which may have implications for NDIS applications, though I do have my diagnostic letters co-signed by a clinical psychologist where necessary. My mission is to support and empower you through understanding and acceptance, creating a safe space for you to explore your neurotype, free from shame and judgement.

Limitation: unlikely to support NDIS or DSP application without assessment from additional clinicians.
Charged in prorata hourly blocks - $300 per hour. Approximate quote to be provided after intake forms are completed.
What is included in an Adult Autism (+ADHD screening) Assessment?
First, you will check out my website and socials to see if you think I'm the right fit for you, then book your assessment online. You can choose whether to book a full Autism Assessment, or whether you want to book a stand-a-lone consultation to explore your neurotype.
Before the assessment, I will send you a fairly long intake form so that I can gather your history and current concerns, and a series of standardised questionnaires. You will send me copies of particular documents such as school reports or previous medical/allied health reports (if you don't have them, don't worry).
The standard assessment is a 3 hour interview conducted via telehealth. I can offer you 2x 1.5 hour appointments instead of the full 3 hour interview if you prefer, though you will need to email me directly to discuss. These dates are more limited due to scheduling.
This option includes a brief 3(ish) page letter with a diagnostic summary and recommendations - this includes the tests used and results. This letter is not suitable alone for NDIS or DSP application/s.
My letters are therapeutic. "A therapeutic letter is a tool to help individuals process emotions, explore experiences, and reframe stories. It's not a traditional letter intended for sending, but rather a form of expressive writing that can facilitate healing and self-discovery." This letter is not intended to be cold & clinical, it is designed to be a launch point into your homecoming - a return to your truest self now that you know your neurotype. If you are interested in formal, clinical diagnostic & functional reports you will be best to find another clinician more suited to your preferences. Here are some examples of the types of things that I would write in my therapeutic diagnostic letters:
“This isn’t a reinvention; it’s a remembering—a return to the self that’s been there all along.”
“When the mirror never showed you clearly, it makes perfect sense that recognition took time.”
This costs $1500; a 20% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining 80% is due 7 days prior to your assessment appointment. Assessments will not be conducted without full payment.
Alternatively, you can request a comprehensive report in addition to the assessment; these fees are charged at my hourly $300 rate and a comprehensive report typically takes 4-8 hours. I can provide a rough estimate after reading your intake form, and a more comprehensive quote after our assessment session if you are interested in this option. This will be available 4-8 weeks after our assessment and available to you at the 30 min feedback appointment, once you have completed payment.
A comprehensive report can only be completed within 3 months of our intake interview and cannot be requested after this date (if you change your mind).

Cancellation Policy
My cancellation policy is strict - I'm also a disabled small biz owner. If you cancel within 7 days of your appointment, your deposit will not be returned. More details are in my informed consent form received upon booking, if you would like to read it first please ask for a copy.
